SI Retail contacted me earlier this year excited about a new design innovation to do with Data Strip. As we all know regardless of how good the adhesive is on the current Data Strip it does have a tendency to fall off in different sections around our stores, sections like the flour, oil and sugar and the bottom shelf is always a problem.
Once the Data Strip does fall off staff have to remove the excess adhesive left on the shelf otherwise the new data will not stick properly.
SI Retail have found the solution in their new Clip-On Data Strip. We initially arranged for a box to be sent to us for a trial and I can honestly say my team love it. Once clipped onto the front of the shelf, it does not move and will not fall off. This has and will save us time and money in replacing data strip in the future.
Since the trial Drakes have purchased 8 pallets of Data strip and we will continue to upgrade our stores with the new Clip-On version on an ongoing basis.

As with most shopfitter/retailer relationships, a significant emphasis has been placed on ensuring great value for Mountain Design's money, given their considerable expenditure per store.
Very early in our relationship all of the fixtures and fittings were manufactured in Australia at considerable cost. Then in order to reduce prices, we imported store fixtures from The Philippines but there was a significant lack of quality.
In late 2012 and after gaining much needed experience, Barrett's engaged the services of SI Retail to handle the procurement of Mountain Designs fixtures and fittings from China. The result of this new relationship is the perfect balance of quality and value.

Recently we have been working with SI Retail in regards to installing LED undershelf lighting in 2 sites to date in our Health & beauty sections. We have found the self-installing magnetic LED system to be of high quality and very competitive in terms of price as against other more labour intensive systems. I have personally installed this system and found it to be incredibly adaptable and easy to install with fantastic results.
